A Nation Without School Librarians -- Google Map

Think about the time when you were in school. You'd walk into the library and the nice librarian would be so excited to show you a new book that just came into the library and she was holding it for you because she knew that this would be something that you'd love to read. Now think about your own kids walking into a library and it being empty -- without anybody to help your kid navigate the world of literature, literacy or the the Web. That's what's happening all over the county. Check out this Google map that Shonda created showing a visual map for exactly which school systems are eliminating librarians. It's really scary and not a pretty picture.
